New Yankee Workshop Episodes

In light of the Megaupload.com shutdown, I am reuploading all files to at least Rapidshare and probably two other sites. Give me some time.

In the meantime, there are active torrents out, which aren't a bad idea at all. Check out http://thepiratebay.se and search for "new yankee season" (no quotes) - You will need uTorrent to download torrents. If thepiratebay is blocked in your country, Google for "new yankee workshop season torrent" (no quotes).

Here is my list of New Yankee episodes, Dave Marks episodes and some ShopNotes and WoodSmith magazines. These are all currently hosted on a filesharing host called Rapidshare. Some were on Megaupload before the government shut them down.

RS is free to use, but as a free user you may find the process frustrating, tedious and slow. You can maybe download 1-3 episodes per day as a free user (as a side note you can now download and install jDownloader which will automate much of the downloading).

If you plan on downloading ALL these episodes, I recommend you just splurge on a one month membership to Rapidshare, which costs around $10. This will vastly expand your daily download limit and will allow you to get EVERYTHING here in 1-2 days (considering you work your cable/DSl modem 24 hours per day) (if you go this route, definitely use jDownloader or FreeDownloadManager, DownThemAll).

If you find any files that are offline, unavailable or mis-named, PLEASE let me know.
If you find an episode that is "temporarily unavailable," please try again in a few hours. Their servers sometimes go offline. If, after more than a day, the file remains offline, let me know and I'll reup it.

Also, if you have any episodes that I do NOT have, please let me know. I'd love to host them. Note, the previous phrase is now kind of obsolete as the NYWS collection is now complete. However, if you have a BETTER quality version than what I have, let me know.

Several PDFs are online. DVD-Rip of Deluxe Router Station online. Existing rip was pretty good, this one is even better!

01/07/10:
All NYWS episodes are now online!! Please check below for the latest additions. Now I start cataloging our worst-quality episodes and seek out better rips of each. Meanwhile, I will revamp this site by cleaning it up, making it easier to find what you came here for, and putting ALL files on both RS and MU.

Two episodes have been upgraded to better versions...

I was emailed links to PDF files of ShopNotes and WoodSmith magazines...

ALSO NOTE: www.newyankee.com is now streaming one episode per week. These CAN be saved to your hard drive, if you know how to do it. If not, ask me. Incidentally, I believe the quality of the downloaded file is of higher quality than the streamed version. This is due to forcing a LOW quality command in the HTML.

01/01/10:
Nine more missing episodes have been found! They were snail mailed to me on VHS and I encoded them with AutoGK. Quality is so-so, but it's certainly better than nothing!!! I am working on securing the other episodes. Be on the lookout! :)

12/20/09:
More missing episodes found. They are listed down below. I have begun *properly* cataloging my collection and have found mis-named files, duplicates and drilled down just which ones are truly missing. Good changes are coming soon.

Responses to comments and emails: I will NOT be putting these into torrents (on demonoid or elsewhere). There was a 26 GB torrent floating around that had many of these eps in it. If you want torrents, go find that, but frankly, anymore, I'm anti-BT. RS and MU are the way to go. Remember, the Dave Marks stuff is all on RS.

RS NYWS mirrors will be coming along. Someone was kind enough to snail mail me 10 GB of eps. THESE are going on RS and MU both. The older stuff will go on RS as I have time for.

Aside from that additional 10 GB that is not yet hosted, I HAVE NOTHING ELSE. If I did, it'd be hosted. I have no other shows (UK or otherwise). If I could get them, I would. At my home, I have no television service, thus no DVR service. I am unable to get anything else. It is up to kinder folks than I to snail or host stuff for me, so that I may xfer it to RS and/or MU (hint hint).
